Although we recommend changing your initial set for final teeth in the first 12 months, with maintenance and care, you can wear them for up to 24 months.
An amazing new “full jaw / full mouth” treatment from our professional All on 4/6 dental implant team. A new “same day smile.
Under normal circumstances, implants would be anchored into the jaw, and then a waiting period would ensue to ensure complete stability before fitting your permanent dental crowns. However, using a process known as All-On-4 or All-On-6, we can replace an entire arch of teeth using just 4-6 implants complete with a full arch of temporary replacement teeth during the same visit.
This technique is known as ‘immediate loading’ and is a game-changer for patients because they can leave that very same day with a brand-new smile.

Sometimes it just isn’t cost-effective or practical to replace every tooth gap with a single dental implant or even multi-tooth implants, particularly in the case of edentulous patients – those who are missing all or most of their teeth. With the All-On-4 or All-On-6 procedures, just 4-6 specially designed implants can safely support an entire arch of restoration teeth, making it a comprehensive solution for teeth replacement.
Key benefits include:
If you have many missing teeth, multiple diseased teeth, are a long-term, full-denture wearer or you’ve been told you have insufficient bone, an All-On-4 or All-On-6 procedure could be for you. Either way, our experienced dentists will evaluate your condition and let you know if you’re eligible during a smile consultation.
The important thing to know is that you don’t have to live with missing or failing teeth. Come and talk to Predent in Earls Court about ways that we can help you restore your smile. With All-On-4, there’s no lengthy recovery period, and you have a full set of functioning teeth from day one.
It’s important to note that although this procedure is referred to as ‘same-day’, that’s to get your implants placed and a temporary set of teeth fitted. Patients will be required to return to have their custom-permanent restorations fitted. This is normally carried out 2-3 months later. That said, patients can still walk in with multiple missing or failing teeth and walk out with a fully replaced smile.
After you’ve been given the go-ahead following a clinical evaluation and our dentist has devised a custom treatment plan, you’ll be scheduled for surgery. During surgery, any failing or problem teeth are extracted. Then, four or six specially adapted implants are placed directly into the jaw.
Once in position, our dentist will fit your temporary teeth at the same time to complete the smile.
Finally, after several months when the implants are fully stable, any temporary teeth are removed and your permanent arch is fitted. Now it’s time to wear your new smile with confidence.
“Avoid dentures with All on 4 / All on 6”
By positioning your implants in ideal positions, you can now have a full set of teeth with just 4 to 6 implants. Ideal for those wanting minimal treatment, when bone is limited or catering for a budget.
Although we recommend changing your initial set for final teeth in the first 12 months, with maintenance and care, you can wear them for up to 24 months.
For the first 6 months or so after placing your implants, we expect the gum to change shape. So after a while, your initial set won’t be a perfect fit.
The final teeth are made using CAD-CAM computer-aided technology and are either metal or zirconia-reinforced to make them strong enough for long-term use.
Your initial set becomes a great spare, in case your final set ever needs servicing. The cost depends on the number of implants and materials chosen and doesn’t need to be paid for until you reach that stage – another reason to have excellent initial teeth.
